HR (High Resilience) Foam

High resilience (HR) foam is a type of material used in mattresses and other bedding products, known for its durability, comfort, and ability to quickly return to its original shape after compression. Its name comes from the term "resilience," which in materials science refers to the ability of a material to absorb energy when elastically deformed and then release that energy when it returns to its original shape.

One of the distinctive aspects of HR foam is its open cell structure. This structure allows air to flow more freely through the material, which can help regulate temperature and reduce excess body heat while you sleep. Additionally, HR foam has a higher density than traditional foams, allowing it to provide superior support and resist deformation over a longer period of time. It is a material that offers a good balance of softness and support, making it ideal for use in mattresses.

HR foam is also valued for its ability to reduce pressure points. When you lie on a mattress containing HR foam, the material contours to your body, distributing weight more evenly and reducing pressure on parts of the body that tend to bear more heavily on the mattress, such as the shoulders and hips.

Although the Alba Original Mattress does not contain HR foam but rather 100% natural latex, it still shares many of the appealing qualities of HR foam. Natural latex is also known for its durability, comfort, and resilience. It provides responsive support, contours to the body to reduce pressure points, and has an open cell structure that promotes airflow. Additionally, 100% natural latex is an eco-friendly and hypoallergenic material, making it a great choice for those looking for a more natural and healthy bedding option.
